Refill granules, partial desalination resin with activated carbon 5 L
Base price: 10,99 EUR/liter
Delivery: 5 days within Europe
Refill granules, partial demineralization resin with activated carbon 5 L.
The refill granulate consists of an organic ion exchange resin (Pure Resin 200 FDH) and silvered activated carbon. The silvered activated carbon reduces odor and taste disturbing substances in the water, such as heavy metals, chlorine and protects against bacteria. The ion exchange resin removes the lime in the water.
So you always have an unclouded coffee enjoyment.
With the 5 liters of refill granules (ion exchange resin), you can refill the water filter cartridge up to 76 times.
Detailed information:
The filter granulate consists of a mix of different components; High quality ion exchange resin for partial desalination (Pure Resin 200 FDH) and silvered activated carbon. It is generally used for open tanks and jug filters (e.g. coffee machines, table water filters etc.). The filter granules remove the carbonate hardness from the water, which is harmful to machines. The result is ideal water for making coffee and tea. In addition, the granulate filters undesirable odors and flavors as well as dirt particles out of the water. The highest water quality and flawless device function are maintained if the granulate is changed in good time. The filter granulate should be changed every 4 weeks at the latest.
How it works
Hardness components such as calcium carbonate (CaCo3) and magnesium carbonate (MgCO3) are removed during partial demineralization/decarbonization. In water softening systems, hardness-forming cations are exchanged for sodium ions. In partial desalination, on the other hand, these are exchanged for hydrogen (H+) ions and not sodium ions. Carbonic acid (H+ and HCO3 = H2CO3) is thus formed from the carbonate hardness and the salt content of the water is reduced by approx. 18 mg/l per degree of carbonate hardness. The excess carbonic acid is expelled by aerating the water or bound by blending with tap water.
When the water flows over the activated carbon, it is treated with oxygen so that millions of small pores are formed between the carbon (carbon) atoms. This increases the surface area and strengthens surface adhesion. In this way, undesirable ingredients such as chlorine particles, odors and flavors, organic contaminants, smaller particles and suspended solids are attracted and simultaneously trapped. However, valuable trace elements and minerals are retained.
The granulate can be used for the following appliances, among others: Saeco®, Jura®, Krups®, DeLonghi®, AEG®, Tefal®, Brita®, Leifheit®, Laurastar®, etc.
