The SANACELL CB-Premium 5 filter cartridges fit the MULTI PURE filters MP-250 PC and MP-400PC.
They are a joint development of SANACELL Handels Berlin and CARBONIT Filtertechnik Berlin.

With the filter manufacturer CARBONIT, we have gained the largest European producer of carbon block filters as a partner. CARBONIT produces activated carbon blocks in Germany that are specifically adapted to European conditions. The retention of bacteria is essential for a carbon block. Unlike in the USA, drinking water in Germany is not chlorinated. To achieve high retention performance here, the pore size of 0.45 μm is finer than that of the MULTI-PURE replacement filters.

Due to intensive livestock farming and agriculture, we must pay particular attention to hormones, drug residues, and pesticides . CARBONIT filters have been successfully tested for their retention capacity against these substances. Filter safety and enjoyment are the cornerstones of our recommendations. Therefore, there are two criteria for the replacement filter cycle . Heavy metals, for example, are retained by the activated carbon until the filter pores are clogged and no more water can pass through the filter. This can sometimes take years. The situation is different with microorganisms. Here, it is a matter of time before they penetrate the filter. CARBONIT activated carbon blocks are tested and safe for at least 6 months. It is aspects of safety and your health that lead us to recommend changing the filter after 6 months.

There are no drinking water filter standards in Germany. However, DIN 1988 describes a household filter, among other things. Here, too, based on studies and experience by the DVGW (German Technical and Scientific Association for Gas and Water), a replacement interval of six months is recommended to rule out any bacteriological risk.

Several independent expert reports have been prepared for the CARBONIT® Monoblock NFP-Premium filter cartridge, which is manufactured using the same technical process. These reports confirm the hygiene and performance of the filter element. Furthermore, it has received the LGA certificate for tested safety according to German food law.
