PI®-POWER COMPACT technology stands for uncompromising quality – even when it comes to tap water purification. Even if it complies with current drinking water regulations, it often contains substances that have no place in healthy water. Therefore, only reverse osmosis in a direct flow system is used for pre-treatment.
"Reverse osmosis systems remove nitrate, sulfate, chloride, sodium, and hardness-forming substances, as well as undissolved substances such as colloidal iron, silica, and asbestos fibers, from the water. The permeate (purified water) is not the same as distilled or deionized water, as a certain residual salt content remains in the water."

The PI®-POWER COMPACT technology uses the most modern and safest reverse osmosis system on the market, the so-called "Direct Flow" reverse osmosis ("The new generation of reverse osmosis devices" – quote from Dr. Barbarba Hendel, author of "Water and Salt," "The Purest Water"). This technology delivers over 1.5 liters of ultrapure water per minute at the touch of a button – without a storage tank. The amount of wastewater per liter of reverse osmosis water is extremely low: only approximately 1.2 liters. Reverse osmosis is the most effective form of water purification. All substances listed above are removed by 96 to 99%. In addition, reverse osmosis removes water hardness contaminants, fluoride, chloride, nitrate, nitrite, sulfate, and arsenic. Even the highly toxic radionuclides (e.g. radium 226, radium 228, uranium) are rejected by the reverse osmosis membrane.

PI® water purified by reverse osmosis therefore meets the criteria of the World Health Organization (WHO) for “suitability for baby food”.

However, the combination of PI® technology with reverse osmosis has another health benefit: The exceptional purity enhances the purifying effect of PI® water – it achieves the quality of the best low-mineral, "living" spring waters (for example, "Lauretana - The Lightest Water in Europe", "Mont Rouccous", or "Plose").

The 2012 model is a further development of the PI®-POWER-COMPACT technology.

Model 2012 is equipped with 2 pre-filters (sediment and carbon) and 2 membranes, type 150 GPD.
The 2012 model is equipped with a water-cooled pump, which enables long production times.

The reverse osmosis system of the 2012 model can be installed horizontally under the baseboard in many kitchens because it is very narrow and has a water-cooled motor.

*The stated yield is only possible under optimal conditions at a water temperature of approximately 25°C. The amount of wastewater generated by flushing the membrane was not taken into account in the yield figures.

• Conditions for the inlet water (before reverse osmosis)

  1. The incoming water must comply with the Drinking Water Ordinance!
  2. The raw water temperature should be between 4 and 40°C.
  3. The raw water pressure must be above 1.7 bar.
  4. The raw water TDS (total dissolved solids) content must be below 600 ppm (1200 µS) (for values above this, please send water analysis and request special information).
  5. The raw water hardness should be below 25° dH (for values above 25° dH, please send a water analysis and request special information on pre-softening)

Commissioning : The system must be connected and commissioned within a maximum of 7 days to avoid possible contamination. When installing the system, please strictly observe the flushing times specified in the installation instructions (reverse osmosis 20 minutes, entire system including PI-Cell Vitalizer another 20 minutes) . The pre-filters can be stored in their original packaging for up to 3 years.
