Refill kit for a grey Smart cartridge

If you want to outsmart the cutthroats, then this hack is just right for you.

You get:
1x plug for the water filter
1 liter of refill granules
1x Refill Funnel

Here's how to proceed:

➡️ Make a 10 mm hole in the top of your used Jura Smart cartridge.

➡️ Empty the old granules and clean the filter cartridge to ensure it remains hygienically clean.

➡️ Fill with new granules and close the opening with a silicone cork.

➡️ Only fill to about 4/5 full, as the granules swell upon contact with water.

➡️ Insert the cartridge into the tank.

➡️ Cut a piece of aluminum foil to size and stick it over the water inlet of the Jura.
Two small strips of adhesive tape are all you need to attach it. Cut out the filling hole and place the tank on top. Done!

The aluminum foil interrupts the communication between the filter's RFID chip and the Jura coffee machine. Therefore, the message "Filter capacity exhausted" no longer appears. The Jura starts with the setting without a filter.

That's it. Here's a video tutorial we found on YouTube. Regular aluminum foil is sufficient; Tetra Pak cartons might be too thick.
