How clean is their drinking water?
Fortunately, there is no shortage of drinking water in Germany. However, very few people get their drinking water directly from a spring. Instead, we receive water in our homes that has been robbed of its already often weak vitality through long transport and high pressure.
In addition, the water often contains foreign substances such as chlorine, which is added in some regions, various heavy metals, mostly lead from old pipes, and solid impurities such as bacteria and fungal spores.
The drinking water content is approximately 2-3 percent, but it is precisely here that maximum safety and quality should be guaranteed. By combining two technologies, our EWO Vitalfilter produces high-quality drinking water – without any chemical additives. The filter unit is manufactured by Carbonit and consists of activated carbon, which has a very large surface area and a porous structure. The surface area of just three grams of high-quality activated carbon is roughly equivalent to that of a football field.

Tests and trials confirm that the EWO Vital Filter reduces almost all pollutants: chlorine, heavy metals, bacteria, microorganisms, parasites, drug residues, hormones, antibiotics, and pesticides. It also filters out tastes and odors. Dissolved minerals are retained. Nitrate is not filtered out.
As the tests confirm, a high retention capacity is maintained throughout the entire service life of the filter cartridge.
After filtration, the water flows around the vitalizing rod.
This high-quality filtered and revitalized water now has a spring water-like quality and can be used wonderfully for drinking, washing vegetables, preparing baby food or cooking, as well as in aquariums, for plants and pets.
The EWO Vital Filter is quick and easy to install – directly on the tap. This makes it ideal for travel. Whether in a garden shed, camping, or staying in a hotel, the EWO Vital Filter allows you to easily and efficiently produce clean, vital drinking water from your tap.
Connection:
Standardized connection for all standard taps, for both internal and external threads. Thanks to the integrated diverter valve (vertical position: domestic water, horizontal position: EWO Vital Water), unscrewing is not necessary if only domestic water is required.
Operating requirements:
• For technical reasons (plastic housing), use is only permitted with cold water.
• Required operating pressure: 2-5 bar. For unpressurized boilers, the EWO Vital Filter can be connected using a T-piece before the tap leading to the boiler.
• Protect from frost.
Filter cartridge:
• Filter fineness: The EWO-Monoblock® filter cartridge, manufactured using an internationally patented process, has a filter fineness of <0.45 µm.
• Output: approx. 50 liters per hour at 4 bar and a water temperature of 10°C.
• Recommended filter change after 6 months (DIN 1988) or 4,000 liters of flow rate (flow rate decreases). For heavily contaminated water, we recommend pre-filtration.
• When using while traveling in countries with poor water quality: Before reusing, clean the filter housing, dry it and insert a new cartridge.
