This new filter fits many LG side-by-side refrigerators that have built-in elongated water filters. Please compare the model numbers provided with your currently installed water filter. It improves both the smell and taste of the filtered water!

The manufacturer recommends replacing the water filter whenever:

• the warning light on your refrigerator is illuminated (depending on the type),
• the refrigerator has not been used for several weeks or
• at least every 6 months

Please note

The LG filter is not compatible with refrigerators that have an external water filter. According to the appliance manufacturer's recommendation, you should always replace the water filter if:

the corresponding warning light on your refrigerator illuminates (depending on the model)
the refrigerator was not used for a long time
in case of odor development or cloudiness of the water
or, to be on the safe side, at least every 6 months
