The AquaNevo ABF Primus CLC from Alvito corresponds to the activated carbon block filter ABF Primus EM (with "baked-in" EM ceramic) and is additionally filled with a special limescale protection granulate.

This granulate converts part of the temporary water hardness (dissolved "limescale") into larger, stable calcite crystals. During this "catalytic" process of limescale conversion, no substances are released into the water, nor is the limescale filtered out. The limescale remains in the water and merely changes its structure.

The limescale protection granules work purely physically and do not wear out within the specified six-month service life, as the resulting limescale crystals continually detach from the granules. Their effectiveness may vary depending on the individual water composition.

As a result, significantly less residue is left on fixtures, tiles, etc., and limescale builds up less stubbornly on surfaces. Once deposits have formed, they are easier to remove, reducing cleaning effort. Household appliances (kettle, coffee makers, etc.) are also protected.
