The connections are so-called Quick Connect Fittings. These were already integrated into the cartridge during manufacturing. The hose ends simply need to be inserted into the filter openings until they stop. The closures lock automatically, and the replacement process takes only a few seconds.

Two-stage filtration:
Unlike most filters, this water filter is not only filled with activated carbon but consists of two filter stages.
-First stage sediment filter down to 5µm micron (everything larger than 5 thousandths of a millimeter) against suspended particles and micro-sediments such as rust, sand, lime particles, etc.
The second stage is activated carbon made from real coconut shells, which removes mechanical impurities, chlorine, pesticides, heavy metals, and many organic chemicals. The water filter thus improves the taste, which you can not only smell and taste but also see.
This filter fits all refrigerator models that have an external water filter. The external water filters are installed between the 1/4 inch plastic hose (6 mm diameter) that connects to the cold water line.

Filter change
According to the appliance manufacturers' recommendations, you should always replace the water filter if:
-the corresponding warning light on your refrigerator illuminates (depending on the model),
-the refrigerator has not been used for a long time,
-in case of odor development or cloudiness of the water,
-or, to be on the safe side, according to the TwVo (Technical Regulations for Water Supply), at least every 6 months, even if the filter has a higher capacity!
