A word about cheap water filters for SBS refrigerators on the Internet
Many customers are delighted when they find a replacement filter online for a fraction of the normal price. They quickly order a pack of two, three, or six. The product arrives, everything looks fine, the filter is connected, and the seller receives a good review. Then, after a few weeks, mishap occurs: the filter bursts, and the kitchen floods. What seemed like a good deal turns out to be a very expensive purchase. Can this really happen? We actually have a case like this. How could this have happened? Recently, an increasing number of cheap filters from Asia or Eastern Europe have been appearing on the market that do not meet German quality standards. In addition to their lower compressive strength, there is also the risk of purchasing filters with cheap activated carbon fillings made from bitumen. The absorption rate is significantly lower than with activated carbon made from coconuts. So don't cut corners; it could be expensive. Only buy from specialist retailers who exclusively sell water filters and are knowledgeable about the subject. If the seller also offers a variety of other unrelated items, we advise caution. Technical data of the filters:
Flow rate: 283 liters / 24h, max. pressure: 6.0 bar, max. temperature: 45 degrees Celsius / Service life: 6 months / up to 7700 liters . According to the Drinking Water Ordinance (DIN 1988), all drinking water filters must be replaced after 6 months (to prevent microbial contamination), even if the filter has a larger capacity.
How it works:
The filters clean the water of rust, chlorine, organic compounds, and sediment. In addition to activated carbon, the filter also features sediment filter inserts. The result is a significant improvement in taste. There's hardly any deposits in your refrigerator's water and ice system.
