Water is one of the most important elements for the life of humans, animals, and plants on our planet! But it is often contaminated by pollutants, and these pollutants can cause health problems.

Reverse osmosis systems offer an affordable and effective way to produce very clean water! In reverse osmosis, the raw water is forced against a membrane; only pure water (permeate) can pass through the membrane, while the contaminants are removed with the residual water (concentrate).

The quality and quantity of the reverse osmosis water depends on the pressure and temperature of the raw water.

Most commercially available water treatment systems that operate on the basis of ion exchange exchange hardness-causing ions (e.g., calcium) for other ions (e.g., sodium). This can lead to a shift in the ion ratio, which can have unpredictable consequences in the aquarium. Such systems require regular regeneration with chemicals!

Reverse osmosis is a natural process that safely removes dissolved salts and pollutants from water using physical means!

The total salt content and therefore the conductivity of the reverse osmosis water depends on the quality of the tap water (raw water)!
