This system is based on a five-stage basic system. Three classic pre-filters with standard cartridges are used. The system can be expanded with additional cartridges such as bioceramic cartridge (FIR) and mineral cartridge as well as any connections and faucets.

Reverse osmosis removes up to 99.8% of all contaminants from the water. The filtered water is stored in a tank. This is equipped as standard with a chrome-plated faucet that is mounted on the sink, as well as with quick-connect fittings (John Guest) that simplify the connection of the system to water pipes - easy installation, ergonomic design.

The core of the system is a multi-layered TFC thin-film membrane which, together with the polypropylene and activated carbon pre-filters, achieves pure water free of heavy metals, bacteria, and viruses.

First to third pre-filter stages: 1µm and 5µm polypropylene foam as well as 5µm activated carbon block for the retention of mechanical, undissolved impurities, removal of pesticides and many organic contaminants

Fourth stage: 50 GPD Filmtec reverse osmosis membrane for the retention of 96-99% of all contaminants dissolved in the water - bacteria, viruses, drug residues, etc.

Fifth stage: Activated carbon granulate for taste and odor neutralization

(optional) Sixth stage: Enrichment of the water with minerals. These are minerals such as calcium, magnesium, sodium, and many others that can be found in natural mineral water.

(optional) Seventh stage: Bioceramic (FIR) revitalizes the water.

To sustainably protect the tank from germ contamination during system downtime, we recommend installing a germ barrier (UF membrane) before the tank.

Warranty declaration: In addition to the statutory warranty, you receive a 5-year warranty (excluding filter inserts) on all of our 5-7 stage reverse osmosis systems due to the high-quality components. During this time, we will repair or replace parts free of charge, at your discretion. The warranty is valid worldwide, and Wasserstelle Berlin is the guarantor. The invoice is sufficient as proof of the warranty claim. Your statutory rights as a consumer (24-month warranty) are not restricted by this warranty. You can extend the warranty claim for an additional fee to 10 years.

The following accessories are supplied complete with the device: An ergonomic, chrome-plated touch-flow faucet or, instead, an elegant faucet with ceramic valve (extra charge) or with cross handle, ceramic valve, and round arch (extra charge) that can be mounted on the washbasin or sink. Universal metal connector with ball valve and hose, which enables quick and easy connection of the filter to the water supply pipe. The universal wrench for filter housings (necessary when changing cartridges). Teflon tape is used for sealing threaded connections.

P.S.

You should be picky when buying a water filtration system. You want pure water, so make sure that the materials of your system are approved for drinking water and do not release any pollutants into the water.

Decide for yourself whether you want to purchase a DIY-assembled system (possibly equipped with components of dubious origin) from any company and perhaps save a few EUR, or whether you want to buy a quality product from a global company for a bit more money, but still significantly below the usual market price.

Ultimately, it is an investment for many years, and quality has its price!

Here are a few tips on how to recognize high-quality reverse osmosis systems: High-quality systems are characterized, for example, by the fact that they have quick-connect fittings such as John-Guest or Maxtec connectors, and not just simple so-called JACO screw fittings. These are inexpensive but also cumbersome screw connections, which, depending on the material, tend to break easily and where you as a customer can potentially injure your fingers.
High-quality systems often have a faucet with a ceramic valve (secure closure, bacteria can penetrate the system from the faucet side more easily with other types). Many systems usually only have a simple toggle faucet without a secure ceramic valve.

The hose material should show the manufacturer, the max. load capacity, and the approval for drinking water; in inexpensive systems, the hose material is often only rated up to 7 bar.

Pay attention to the installation of high-quality membranes, e.g., Filmtec by DOW; sometimes cheap membranes of dubious origin are installed.

With high-quality systems, you often receive far more than just the statutory warranty of two years.
