What sets these socks apart from other bamboo socks? Two key features:
1.) High bamboo content : Our socks are made of 85% bamboo viscose, with a small percentage of 10% nylon necessary for a perfect fit and durability. Socks made of 100% bamboo viscose would have a short lifespan.
2.) 200 Stitch Count : Extremely tightly woven on a 200-needle machine for extra-fine socks. Most socks are woven on 96- or 128-needle machines. The higher the stitch count, the denser (not thicker) the weave, and the better the fit and longer the socks' lifespan.
Why bamboo?
If you suffer from sweaty feet, there's now a simple solution: socks made of bamboo viscose. Unpleasant foot odor will soon be a thing of the past with these socks. These socks are the right choice for sweaty feet, keeping your feet dry and comfortable. Many people don't realize that wearing the wrong socks is one of the main causes of unpleasant foot odor. Socks made of certain materials (such as polyamide) neither allow moisture to evaporate nor absorb it. The moisture remains on the feet, and bacteria can cause foot odor, and the warm, humid climate also promotes the growth of fungi.
In addition to the recommendation to change socks every day, choosing the right sock material is extremely important when it comes to sweaty feet. Socks made of bamboo viscose absorb moisture from the feet significantly better than cotton and are extremely breathable. The fiber structure of bamboo viscose is noticeably finer than that of cotton yarns. Furthermore, the molecular structure of bamboo viscose yarn is highly porous. Our bamboo socks are made from 85% bamboo viscose and only 10% nylon. This allows the positive properties of bamboo to be more evident than with socks made from 60 or 70% bamboo. One disadvantage of bamboo socks is that they wear out faster than cotton socks. Therefore, our socks are manufactured using increased needle count (over 200 needles), which significantly extends their lifespan compared to standard bamboo socks. Nevertheless, it is important to keep the toenail on your big toe short (not beyond the toe), as otherwise the hard nail can wear a hole through the sock within hours.
Bamboo viscose is a silky material that, in addition to being highly breathable and moisture-absorbing, offers exceptional comfort. Pleasantly soft and cool, bamboo viscose feels comfortable against the skin, providing remarkable comfort even on longer hikes. The antibacterial properties of the socks also help prevent athlete's foot. These socks are equally suitable for heavy work shoes and business suits.
