Limescale protection
The integrated limescale protection granules create tiny seed crystals to which calcium, a hardness-forming element, attaches. The crystallized limescale is completely passive and can no longer adhere to surfaces; dissolved limescale transforms into insoluble and non-stick calcium carbonate. Thus, the limescale protection granules provide extensive protection against limescale residues for the entire lifespan of the cartridge; there's hardly any limescale buildup in kettles, coffee machines, tiles, sinks, etc., and tea and coffee taste significantly better with this limescale treatment. The granules are, of course, food-safe and biologically completely neutral.
Filtration
The Premium Dualis, like the NFP Premium, consists of a 0.45 µm coconut activated carbon block. Drug residues, heavy metals such as lead or copper, hormone-like substances, plasticizers such as chlorine, chemical-organic compounds such as herbicides/pesticides, sediment, and unpleasant tastes or odors are reliably and naturally removed from the water. This activated carbon is currently hard to beat. With its performance of well over 2 l/min, it is ideally suited for the stainless steel water swirler, the Wirbel-Ei.
Breakdown of old limescale residues Carbonic acid bound in the water releases microscopically small bubbles, the so-called 'micro-bubbles', during this limescale treatment. These ensure the rapid and automatic breakdown of old limescale residues in kettles, coffee machines and other hot water appliances.

The filter cartridge offered by Carbonit is manufactured using coconut charcoal in a previously unmatched process. The extremely homogeneous carbon structure achieves a highly effective and, above all, consistently stable pollutant adsorption capacity.
