Limescale treatment of the future: For highly effective protection of your expensive machines when washing dishes and textiles.

The notorious "limescale infarction" threatens wherever hard water flows through the pipes. The harder the water, the more limescale deposits form in hot water installation systems.

The mechanism of action of the catalyst granules is surprisingly simple. In nature, there is a process in which dissolved calcium carbonate in water is converted into tiny calcium carbonate crystals. Mussels and corals use this so-called biomineralization to build their calcium carbonate skeletons. The crystals formed in this way are carried away by the flowing water, and the precipitable calcium carbonate is flushed out in crystalline form.

All minerals are retained and the water has drinking water quality according to the German Drinking Water Ordinance (TVO).

The catalyst causes the limescale-causing substances in the water to crystallize, preventing them from adhering to the surface. The neutral particles are then flushed away with the water flow, without producing aggressive water through pH changes – as is the case with ion exchangers.

As the water flows through the cartridge, the dissolved lime molecules overflow the surfaces of a completely new granulate that acts positively as a catalyst: The granulate surfaces are designed in such a way that the lime molecules precipitate out in crystalline form upon contact with this matrix and grow very quickly into calcite crystals.

After this constant growth in the catalyst, these crystals no longer adhere to other surfaces and are carried along suspended in the water.

Water treated with limescale requires less chemicals for dishwashing (dish soap, regenerating salt) and less detergent for machine washing textiles.

When (recommended) use in combination with CARBONIT monoblock filter made of activated carbon, always insert the activated carbon block first and then the limescale catalysis cartridge.
