Bellima - how does it work?
The drinking water in Germany is of good quality.
However, for many applications, the enjoyment can be enhanced. It often contains hardeners and other non-toxic substances that negatively affect the taste. Tea drinkers, in particular, are familiar with the problem of using hard water directly from the tap: unsightly scum forms on the surface, making the tea cloudy and sometimes bitter. This leads to annoying limescale deposits in the kettle.
What does Bellima ® do with drinking water?
Bellima reduces water hardness, meaning it absorbs excess calcium and magnesium ions and releases valuable mineral potassium. The same applies to any traces of heavy metals present (e.g., from the house's plumbing).
Bellima releases small amounts of citrate, which is already present in almost all foods and in the human body itself, to support this effect.
Thanks to the special design of the water fan, these processes take place very quickly . When water is boiled with Bellima, the aroma can develop unhindered.
Bellima significantly reduces the permanent hardness and roughly halves the carbonate hardness. This water hardness, which is completely harmless to health, leads to incomplete aroma development in tea and coffee, as well as to the formation of a tea skin and cloudiness in black tea. In some cases, this phenomenon is not due to water hardness but to traces of non-toxic heavy metals. In this case, too, the solution is Bellima.
In addition, Bellima also removes the chlorine taste found in drinking water in some countries.
