Effective cleaning tablets for your machine

• Protect your espresso machine by using these Saeco brand grease-dissolving tablets. They are specially formulated to remove oil and coffee residue, thus preserving the aromas and flavor of your coffee.
  
  These tablets will extend the lifespan of your machine, and it will thank you with delicious and tasty drinks!
  
  To ensure optimal performance in the long term, you should clean your appliance monthly or at the latest every 500 cups.

  How are these tabs used?
  

  Espresso machines with a compartment for ground coffee

  Place a grease-dissolving tablet in the ground coffee compartment and press the button to grind the coffee.
  Press the brew button to start the brewing process. When half a cup of coffee has been brewed, press the on/off button to turn the machine off.
  Leave the grease-dissolving solution on for at least 15 minutes.
  Empty the cup. Turn the machine back on and complete the cycle. Empty the cup again.
  Remove the coffee brewing unit and rinse it thoroughly under running water.
  Reinsert the coffee brewing unit and place a cup under the spout.
  Press the coffee grinding button twice so the machine can perform two brewing cycles without ground coffee. Empty the cup.
  To clean the drip tray, place a grease-dissolving tablet in the tray and fill it two-thirds full with hot water. Let the grease-dissolving solution run for a while.
  Leave to soak for at least 30 minutes. Then rinse the drip tray thoroughly under running tap water.
  Your machine is now clean and ready for use.

Espresso machines without a compartment for ground coffee:

Place a cup under the coffee spout. Fill the water tank with clean water.

• Place one grease-dissolving tablet in a cup and fill the cup with hot water. Wait until the tablet has completely dissolved.
  • Remove the coffee brewing unit and clean the filters and the outlet channel with the degreasing solution. If necessary, use a small sponge or brush.
    Leave the grease-dissolving solution on for at least 15 minutes.
    Rinse the coffee brewing unit thoroughly under running water and then reinsert it.
    To clean the drip tray, place a grease-dissolving tablet in the tray and fill it up to two-thirds full with hot water. Let the grease-dissolving solution work for at least 30 minutes. Then rinse the drip tray thoroughly under running tap water.
    Your machine is now clean and ready for use.
