EM-X ceramics are produced using a special fired clay containing organic material from plants millions of years old. This material serves as food for effective microorganisms (EM) during a fermentation process lasting several months. Among other things, EM ceramics reduce the surface tension of water and break down its cluster structures, thus restoring the water to its natural state.
EM-X ceramic is "baked" into the filter cartridge as a powder during manufacturing. This creates a huge contact surface with the water.
Combined with the proven filtration performance of the Carbonit NFP Premium filter technology, this results in ideal water filtration.

Description
EM ceramics consist of clay into which Effective Microorganisms (EM) have been fired in the absence of air (anaerobically). This process preserves and transfers the diverse properties and information of EM. (Consider, in this context, the well-known microorganisms found in volcanic magma or the hot water of geysers!) We can be certain: The highly resistant bacterial strains in EM do not belong to the group of microbes that are harmful to humans. In fact, all microorganisms that could be dangerous to humans are destroyed at temperatures of 60 degrees Celsius within one hour. Such bacteria are not present in EM!
What can EM ceramics do?
According to Prof. Dr. Teruo Higa, EM ceramics possess the extraordinary ability to remove all types of information from water. Ceramics have the natural capacity to effect ion exchange and long-wave infrared radiation, which erases information from water molecules and restores them to their pure, original state. EM also possesses the exceptional ability to antioxidants, meaning it can not only prevent oxidation but also reverse existing oxidation. Simultaneously, it is able to restore the original, positive magnetic resonance of substances, thus inducing regeneration. In combination, EM ceramics can therefore guide life processes and all matter towards regeneration. EM ceramics represent the medium through which the EM information, fired into the clay, is transferred to the water. The firing process does not damage the information. Thus, the magnetic resonance emanating from EM ceramics can only be beneficial to nature.
What happens during the burning of EM information into the sound?
Professor Higa explains it this way: “Clay is a colloid with an electrical charge, which, when its electrical properties are concentrated, can duplicate the information of microorganisms like a stencil. The theory that life originated from clay may stem from the fact that clay actually has the property of absorbing, fixing, and binding diverse electrical information. It follows that EM ceramics can be considered a stencil for EM information. (…) When the ceramics are brought into contact with water, it becomes possible to extract the EM information from the stencil.”

This activated carbon block filter combines the known adsorptive powers of sintered activated carbon (e.g., pesticides) with mechanical filtration (e.g., bacteria).
Service life:
The filter cartridge must be changed after 6 months (according to DIN 1988). Generally, approximately 10,000 liters of water can be filtered within these 6 months. However, an earlier change may be necessary if the water flow is noticeably reduced. An early change is not a defect of the filter itself, but rather an indication of an increased presence of fine particles in the unfiltered water.

For technical reasons, use only with cold water up to max. 20°C, protect from frost.
