Important! For machines using the grey Smart cartridge, we have the following tip.
The grey Smart is a filter that has been fitted with a chip.

Please note: The Delfin AF01 filter cannot replace the Smart Mini filter cartridges. The filter is too long for this purpose.

However, there is a way to refill an old filter and bypass the chip using a small, clever hack.

The Delfin AF01 Blue is compatible with fully automatic coffee machines using the Smart 71793 filter cartridge, provided you observe the following:

The original grey Smart filter cartridge has an integrated RFID chip that exchanges information about the filter cartridge with your Jura machine. When the filter cartridge is empty, the machine detects this and automatically switches the program to hard water. This results in increased consumption of cleaning and descaling agents.

In order to use the Delfin AF01 Blue filter cartridge for your Jura coffee machine which uses a grey Smart filter cartridge, the following must be observed.

The water hardness is entered in the machine's programming. Enter 10°dH here. You will then be asked whether you want to operate the machine with the filter cartridge or without a water filter. Enter "Operation without water filter" here.
The machine is now operating without a filter, therefore the filter indicator is no longer displayed in the menu. You will no longer be notified when a filter change is needed. If the Delfin AF01 blue filter is now installed, the machine will not recognize it. You must remember to change the cartridge yourself after 50-70 liters of water or at least every two months.

Why was the water hardness set to 10°dH?
The machine "thinks" that you are not using a filter.
For example, if you were to enter 20°dH, the machine would indicate that it needs descaling much more often than necessary.
With regular use of the Delfin AF01 Blue filter cartridge, you'll get a significantly better result than 10°dH. You can therefore save a considerable amount of money and also avoid electronic waste if you remember to change the filter yourself.
